Midwest is best, no doubt, but is “Johnson County beige”?  

In 2023, trends continue to favor ‘white on white” or “dark on dark.’   While these high contrast color schemes are frame-worthy on Pinterest (and local new builds), the look often doesn’t translate to early 2000’s architecture common in Johnson County.  

To make your home more current, look towards complex neutrals or off-whites that can provide “light & bright” or “interesting & moody.”  The gallery below, collected from the web, shares excellent examples of unique color combinations, color usage or new-age “neutrals.”
